Cradle is a very beautiful move and transition. It is a place where you can rest and catch your breath and it is a place to tell your story, this is why I love it so much because you have room to express in it. The way you hold your hands, the way you move your free leg, it is a place to express.

You might find it hard to do at the beginning because sometimes students have difficulties to push their pelvic to the other side once the legs are in the right flex position.
My advice is – as always – get somebody to spot you, but as he / she spots you ask them to help you move your pelvic to the right place and to go out of it.

The Arrow is a posture I found on my favorite aerial hoop book.
This is the book I go to when I need some new ideas.
If you are a beginner you most likely won’t succeed to get into it very easily, and this is why i show in the video also an easier way to get into it, BUT it is important to remember that this is not the RIGHT way to get into it, it is an easier way to help you understand what it feels like to be in this pose.

This is one of the first poses I’ve learned. It is relatively easy but there is a lot of transitions you can do going into it and coming out of it, and of course it is very very pretty.
As usual the names in my country are a bit different so what people usually call Mermaid is what we call Angel. Sorry for the mixing…

It is a relatively easy move, but the way you get in and out of it is very important.
I always teach this move on the 1st or 2nd lesson, because this is how my students start to understand not only the move itself but also how important it is to be smooth and to keep your movements clean.
